Holidays are all about having fun and making memories. We want you to have so much fun and make so many memories on your Harbour Escapes trip that you’ll never want to leave. We’ve teamed up with a network of companies up and down the south coast to offer you fabulous experiences that will leave you exhilarated/relaxed/ entertained/sated (delete as appropriate).
Below, you’ll find suggestions of how you might like to spend your time but the list is by no means exhaustive. If you can think of something else you’d rather do, please just let us know and we’ll do our darndest to make it happen.
Book a Beach Hut
Oh, I do like to be beside the seaside! Spending the day on the beach is bliss. Lugging everything you need down there – deckchairs, a parasol, towels, food and drink, suncream, mini camping stove, toys, and the rest – not so much. We have access to a number of beach huts at various locations, each equipped with pretty much everything you’ll require. Use it as a beach base just for a day or for the duration of your stay. Remember your cossie.
Boat Charters
We’ve partnered with a number of boat charter operators, so can arrange days out on a variety of different vessels for you. Whether you want a motorboat to pootle around Poole Harbour, a sailboat to explore The Needles, or a Sunseeker luxury superyacht on which to watch the sun set, we can make it happen. Please give us plenty of notice of what you want, plus bear in mind that boat charters are weather-dependent. Ahoy!
Luxury Princess Super Yacht Hire
Experience luxury aboard the 21 metre luxury motor cruiser Euphoria. Available to charter for the day (with an experienced crew) or to hire for stay this, sumptuous super yacht can accommodate 8 guests overnight and is equipped with modern entertainment systems, alfresco dining and sunpad, as well as a Jet Rib, water skies, wakeboards, kneeboards and tubes. Boat Trips
There are a plethora of boat trips operating up and down the coast – pleasure cruises, fishing trips, ferry crossings, paddle steamer excursions, history tours, birdwatching expeditions, speedboat adventures, RIB rides, scuba diving experiences, parasailing glides… and more. Whatever your nautical needs, we can organise it for you. All aboard!
Cycle Hire
Whether you want a leisurely cycle along the Sandbanks seafront or a more exertive pedal around The Purbecks, we can source the perfect bike for you – be it human- or electric-powered. We could also sort you out with an electric scooter if you were so inclined.
Equipment Rental
Want to take to the sea armed with some kit? We’ve got access to paddleboards, windsurfers, kiteboards, kayaks, surfboards, boogie boards, scuba diving gear, snorkels, fishing equipment, pedalos and wetsuits. Time to make a splash.
Water Sports
Get your blood pumping with some jet-skiing, water-skiing, wakeboarding, coasteering, aquatic jet-packing, ringo riding, or a guided long-distance swim along the Jurassic Coast.
Fun with a capital F.
Bell Tent Experience
Keep the kids happy with their very own pop-up den in the garden, which can be themed according to their ages and interests. How about superhero decor for your Batman-loving rascal? Or a unicorns and rainbows theme for a more sparkly vibe? We can set up a mini festival, organise a projector for a movie night or provide all the gear you’ll need for a glamping-in-the-garden sleepover.
If you don’t have kids in tow, bell tent experiences are fab for grown-ups, too. The tent can be converted into a chilled-out zen den, set up for a luxe picnic or converted into your own private reading nook, complete with comfy pillows à go-go.
Dining Delights
Go for simple-yet-delicious, full-on fancy or somewhere in-between. The options are seemingly endless when it comes to eating well along the south coast. Whether you’d like a picnic on the beach, a chef to cook at your property, a fancy fish and chips van, afternoon tea with a view, a mobile pizza oven, a Michelin-starred restaurant, posh pub grub, a buffet spread, a barbecue or an alfresco eight-course dinner under a fairy-lit gazebo, we can organise anything to satisfy your appetite. Please give us as much notice as possible and let us know of any dietary requirements. Bon appétit.
Bespoke Events
Whatever the occasion, whatever you want (within reason), just let us know and we can organise it for you. We can arrange a start-to-finish party, complete with food, drink, cake, music, decorations and entertainment – everything from magicians to bubbleologists, a casino set-up to a murder-mystery caper.
If you want to partake in activities not mentioned on this page, just tell us and we’ll do what we can to organise it. Perhaps you’d like a tour of a local vineyard, a helicopter flight, to attend a perfume-making workshop or to learn how to be a mermaid for the day (yes, really!).
