The space

Shalimar epitomises elegant relaxation and is beautifully appointed with high-end furnishings throughout. Positioned up a long private drive behind security gates, there’s plenty of parking space for several vehicles on the driveway and in the three garages. The rear garden is completely private and features a heated pool and pool house, complete with bar area and separate bedroom. One of the most charming features of this magnificent home is the bi-folding doors that connect the outside and inside spaces. There is a BBQ area, as well as alfresco dining space.

When entering the residence, guests are first met with a stunning reception area. The main living space is situated at the rear of the property and includes a modern kitchen, a large dining area and informal lounge area; all of which open up onto the rear garden. There is a separate sitting room and formal dining room for those special occasions. These rooms also connect seamlessly to the rear garden. The contemporary kitchen is well-equipped with a full range of integrated appliances and cooking facilities, and has an island with tall chairs. There’s also a fabulous cinema room, where guests are invited to relax to the max.

With eight bedrooms, there’s plenty of luxurious accommodation for up to 20 guests. Five of the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms – with the second and third bedrooms sharing a large family bathroom. The impressive master bedroom has a superb balcony that overlooks the rear garden and pool. The en-suite to the master bedroom is beautifully appointed and extremely light and spacious. The other bedrooms are also generous in size, with plenty of storage space for guests’ belongings. There is also an annex, which has a large bedroom with an extra sofa bed and separate kitchenette, dining space and bathroom. This makes a wonderful family suite, and would suit any guests seeking a little more privacy during their stay.

Located in the prestigious Branksome Park neighbourhood, the beach isn’t far away. Neither are the boutiques, bars, restaurants and art galleries of Penn Hill, Canford Cliffs and Westbourne villages.
